My 11yr old finally wore me down, and I'm glad he did. I just finished reading The Hunger Games Trilogy, and I think it might be tied with Percy Jackson and the Olympians as my favourite series discovered this year.

Unfinished Business (or “Why I Don’t Like Book Recommendations”)

I love to read. When I say I love to read, what I really mean is that I love to read. This year has been light on content, but high in quantity. Years past have been the reverse. I don't discriminate between genres. Very little is too fluffy or too heavy for me to devour. I'll read just about anything.

This is what makes it particularly hard for me to decide not to finish reading something.

Point Form

This has been good for my reading list. Being upright for too long makes me dizzy and faint, so I spent most of the weekend lying down and reading or dozing. Last night I discovered the Ruth Rendall mysteries -- I'm hooked.
