6 Ingredient Cocktail Sauce

We love shrimp rings — they’re a common request in our home when there’s a holiday approaching. As our family got bigger, I stopped buying the pre-packaged ones and opted instead to buy a bag of shrimp and a bottle of seafood cocktail sauce to assemble our own.

Invariably, half the sauce would linger in the fridge before finally being thrown out.

I hated the waste, but accepted it as a necessary casualty, until one year I forgot to buy a bottle to go with our holiday shrimp. Some quick research blew my mind. All this time, I had all the ingredients to make my own sauce at home at a fraction of the cost!

Now I’m sharing that knowledge with you. Once you start making your own, you’ll never go back to “store bought” again!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

  • 1-1/2 tbsp grated horseradish

  • 2 tsp lemon juice

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Measure ingredients into a small bowl. I like to use prep bowls, because they have a lid and I can pop the whole dish in the fridge when I’m done.

  2. Mix well. Store in fridge.

That’s it — it’s that easy!
