Thankful Things

  • I am very thankful that when my wine glass spilled into my yarn / knitting project bag tonight that it didn't cause any lasting damage.
  • I'm thankful that I spilled the first glass from the bottle and not the last.  Thankfully, I was able to refill my wine goblet.
  • I'm thankful that, for once, my oldest ate something new (to him) without balking and actually enjoyed it.
  • I'm thankful for good friends who drop by to visit and bring soup and banana bread, even if they say cooking isn't one of their strengths. The extra effort was greatly appreciated at breakfast this morning when the boys were being picky.
  • I am thankful my boys are entranced by Skype and the webcam and beg to chat with their Papa and cousins. Hopefully this will help build familial relationships that might otherwise fall to the wayside.
  • I am thankful that my youngest wants to "stick love on" me with kisses. He sticks sleep and happiness on with the same method -- it's pretty effective.
  • I'm thankful he's no longer traumatized by the discovery that he has his first "real" loose tooth.
  • I'm thankful my oldest loves to read. I'm thankful this extends to reading stuff to his brother.
  • I'm thankful for the snow giving a bit of respite from the bitter cold and windchill.
  • I'm thankful for Airmiles. I might save up for a Nano this time!
  • I'm thankful the wine bottle has at least one more glassful in it. I think I will take it up to bed with me and read "World Without End" for awhile. I'm thankful I love to read -- it's much less disruptive than trying to watch a movie or tv show next to a sleeping hubby.
  • I'm thankful I'm home, in my space with my stuff, and relaxed.

That's all for now, Folks. I forgot how mellowing red wine can be for me. :)
